My name is Steve Pomerantz and I am a fine art film photographer. I print traditional darkroom silver gelatin photographs, many of which I hand color with oils and pencil. Some of my photos color darkroom prints from color film. I print most of my work on 16"x20" paper in a 16"x20" frame or 20"x24" in a 20"x24" frame with non glare Art Glass with a narrow mat. I am also doing backlit transpaarancies in different sizes and formats. They are both on Ektachrome 4x5 and 8x10 as well as black and white of various sizes, then hand colored. Most of my frames are made by me.

NEWS
I am always working on new pieces. Many of y most recent pieces have been transparancies, both color and black and white hand colored like my photos. The transparancies are then backlit a number of ways. I've put a few eamples on the gallery below. I have sold a few of the backlit transparancies. I won a Juror's Award at Carriage Barn, Waveny Park, New Canaan CT. for their annual photography show in February! I was also be in their exhibit, The Art of the Vehicle, from April 19 through June 14. A couple of those pieces are now in the gallery below. Email me for more info.
